SemiconductorStore.com to Distribute Leadtek GPS Modules
July 19, 2006, Hawthorne, CA – SemiconductorStore.com, the award-winning eCommerce division of Symmetry Electronics , announced today that it has signed an agreement to add GPS Module manufacturer Leadtek to the growing list of suppliers it showcases online.
Under the terms of the agreement, SemiconductorStore is authorized to promote and sell Leadtek’s GPS Modules, GPS Module Development Kits and GPS accessories to its growing account base across the globe. “Our partnership with Leadtek is the culmination of extensive research conducted by both companies seeking the right combination of manufacturing expertise and distribution services,” said Fred Scott VP of Marketing for Symmetry Electronics. “We are excited to represent Leadtek and to address the needs of our customers who desire the inclusion of GPS technology in their products.”
Leadtek, through its cooperation with the World’s leading GPS chip supplier, SiRF, has created a GPS module that’s outpacing all of the competition on the world market and won the CES Top Ten Products award. “Leadtek is a recognized pioneer in the GPS module industry, we are proud to have the SemiconductorStore as a distribution partner. All of the Leadtek GPS modules are based on the SiRF GPS chipset, include ARM CPU Access, built-in memory and external programmability.
