Symmetry Electronics to Distribute Macronix IC Components

Symmetry Electronics, a design-oriented leader in global distribution of electronic components has announced today that it has signed a contract to add Macronix to their list of franchised IC manufacturers in North and South America.

The terms of today’s agreement authorize Symmetry Electronics to promote and distribute Macronix’s full line of memory and logic products throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America. Macronix’s product line includes Flash Memory, Logic Devices and a wide selection of Microcontrollers covering a variety of applications. “Macronix is a great addition to the Symmetry line card,” said David Bagby of Symmetry. “They offer a broad family of parallel and serial NOR Flash products that include a 2 bit/cell family which is fully compatible with Spansion’s MirrorBit ä. Macronix flash products are designed to be industry-standard and drop-in compatible with AMD/Spansion and ST Micro.
