Symmetry Electronics delivers toys, Christmas Spirit to local children this holiday seasonHAWTHORNE, CA – December 23rd 2005 - Symmetry Electronics, an electronic component distributor headquartered in Hawthorne, CA put a charitable twist on their annual “Secret Santa” program this year by donating all of the gifts to the Hawthorne Fire Department so that they could be given to local children in need. Every holiday season Symmetry Electronics holds a “Secret Santa” program open to all employees working in their Hawthorne, CA headquarters as part of their annual end of the year Holiday Party. This year, the team in charge of managing the program added a few twists to the rules, with the true meaning of Christmas in mind. Everyone that chose to participate this year was instructed to pick a co-workers name from a hat and purchase either a stuffed animal or toy that reminded them of that co-worker. The toys, after being revealed at the annual Symmetry Holiday Party, would then be donated to local children in need. “This year’s ‘Secret Santa’ program was a huge success and nearly everyone participated.” said Fred Scott, Symmetry’s VP of Marketing and “Secret Santa” organizer. “It feels great to arrange an event which is so wholeheartedly received by everyone in the company and also provides so much joy to children in need at this time of year.” Following this year’s Holiday Party, several members of the Hawthorne Fire Department stopped by to gather the more than 40 stuffed animals and toys collected from Symmetry’s “Secret Santas” as well as take a moment to pause with a few Symmetry employees for a few photos in front of the Christmas tree.
