The μPD78F8024 is a highly integrated microcontroller and power solution for reduced board space and reduced system cost while providing high efficiency. Designed to meet the demands of modern day light applications the μPD78F8024 integrates a switching-based constant current driver, dimming control, color management, and thermal management all in its 12x12mm LQFP package.

The μPD78F8024 is suitable for many applications some of which are general illumination, display backlighting , architectural and entertainment lighting, emergency vehicle lighting, gaming machine lighting, industrial control of stepping motor or solenoid drives and switching-mode power supplies.
