I/O Accelerators

PLX Technology offers two types of I/O Accelerators: Targets and Masters. PCI Target I/O Accelerators support Direct Slave Operations; PCI bus Master devices to access memory and other slave devices on a local bus. These 32-bit, 33MHz products include the PCI 9052 and PCI 9030. PCI Bus Master I/O Accelerators support Direct Slave operation, plus they add support for Direct Slave Operations allowing processor/local bus master devices to access memory and other devices on the PCI bus, and they support DMA, allowing masters on either bus to direct the chip to perform data transfers. The PCI Bus Master I/O Accelerators from PLX are available in 64-bit, 66MHz, 32-bit, 66MHz and 32-bit, 33MHz formats.
