Technical Inside Sales Representative

Symmetry Electronics is looking for a full-time Technical Inside Sales Representative to help provide sales and design support to OEM and CEM customers.

Job Qualifications

  • BSEE, EET or equivalent hands on experience.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor products
  • Understanding of sales/marketing techniques and ability to quickly acquire knowledge of products, markets and customer base
  • Strong persuasive abilities and negotiation skills in order to influence current and potential customers to purchase Symmetry's products
  • Be a problem solver with a *get it done* attitude and strong self-motivational attributes
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job description

  • Call on existing and potential customers to obtain design wins and production business for the products on our line card.
  • Develop strong interpersonal relationships with customers and technology partners.
  • Record information in company CRM system to document progress with accounts
  • Pitch appropriate products to support customer design requirements
  • Become familiar with product development kits to help customers evaluate the technology and start their designs
  • Answer technical questions from design engineers regarding our supplier's products
    • Check datasheets and existing documentation / presentation material
    • Communicate with internal and external resources (REPs, Suppliers, Sales, & Management)
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue and profit targets

A Day in the Life

As technical sales engineer with Symmetry Electronics, you will be responsible for developing and maintain customer accounts.  You will be in contact with design engineers, VP's of engineering CTOs, CEOS and purchasing professionals to introduce our line card and value proposition.  You will recommend technologies and support customers from product selection through production.   You will meet with our suppliers and manufacturer's reps to target accounts in your region and you will be supported by the latest IT infrastructure, and a team of professionals including product managers, inside business development and ISRs, technical product specialists and an involved and supportive management team.

Our Successful Sales Professionals Possess:

Content Marketing Specialist

Symmetry Electronics is looking for a full-time Content Marketing Specialist. You will communicate with the internal team and our supplier partners about the latest announcements and product features in order to create content for our blog, promotions, and marketing campaigns. You will help create content as well as establish press and media relationships with companies that can help expose our content.

The ideal candidate will be able to assist with:

  • Work independently and with our internal marketing team to understand schedules and objectives, and meet deadlines
  • Write press releases, blog entries, and social media posts
  • Manage and grow our social media presence
  • Build relationships with new media and press partners.
  • Assist with direct channel growth and optimization (i.e., website, consumer emails, sales communication, etc.)
  • Communicate with the internal team and supplier partners to develop promotional campaigns and provide marketing materials
  • Respond to ad hoc marketing requests from suppliers and internal sales team
  • Build and execute and maintain online marketing campaigns
  • Assist with setting up trade show events


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, technical writing or related field
  • Experience in SEO/SEM marketing (products of a technical nature and B2B preferred)
  • SEO experience and current "best practices" knowledge preferred
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
