Lattice Diamond Software Earns ISO 26262 Qualification

Using a TÜV-certified design methodology, automotive grade FPGAs now meet the latest safety requirements. Lattice achieved ISO26262 certification using an FPGA Functional Safety Design Flow certified by TÜV Rheinland that was based on Lattice Diamond Design Tools 2.1. With the completion of the lengthy qualification process, automotive grade devices are now qualified for both Road Vehicles Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and industrial safety (IEC 61508). This qualification ensures customers using Lattice FPGAs adhere to the latest safety design methodologies while shortening their time-to-market and minimizing cost. The new certification applies to automotive grade devices in the MachXOLatticeXP2 and LatticeECP3 device families. The functional safety manual covers automotive product development using FPGAs for design, implementation, integration, verification, and validation and production release.
