This GainSpan-RenesasG13 Wi-Fi Sensor ADK is a sensor reference application that works with the GainSpan Wi-Fi Adapter board mounted on the Renesas RDK. The Wi-Fi sensor application allows LEDs on the Renesas RDK board to be turned on/off using an iOS or Android-based smartphone or tablet and displays the temperature, light and spatial orientation sensed by the sensors on the RDK board. This ADK provides a complete suite of embedded and mobile platform APIs to greatly ease, and shorten, development time. This ADK consists of the GainSpan Wi-Fi adapter board (WAB), embedded firmware application, Renesas host application code and mobile application source code.
Renesas Electronics customers can add Wi-Fi connectivity using GainSpan's GS1011M and GS1500M low power Wi-Fi modules and develop their solutions with the Wi-Fi Adapter Boards, evaluation boards and drivers from GainSpan. All the GainSpan solutions work seamlessly with Renesas MCUs.
The Renesas Demonstration Kit (RDK) for RL78G13 is an evaluation and demonstration tool for Renesas RL78G14 microcontrollers. To aid in the evaluation of the RL78 family of microcontrollers, Renesas includes IAR's Embedded Workbench Kickstart Edition, which allows for up to 16KB of application code to be implemented on the RL78G13 RDK. To facilitate programming the RDK, the IAR tools support the Renesas TK Debugger which is on-board the RL78G13 RDK.
