GainSpan Ranked Number 78 Fastest Growing Company in North America on Deloitte’s 2013 Technology Fast 500

San Jose, CA, November 13, 2013GainSpan Corporation, a leader in ultra-low power Wi-Fi connectivity for the Internet of Things, today announced it ranked 78th on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America,  and 3rd among semiconductor companies. GainSpan grew 2500 percent during the reference period.
GainSpan CEO Greg Winner credits the company’s revenue growth to its highly integrated Wi-Fi system on chip (SoC) and solution that consumes low power extends battery life significantly and enables the Internet of Things. “Our previous generation of chips and modules brought us to this point, and now with our new GS2000 SoC we foresee accelerated growth,” he said. “The Internet of Things is happening now and low power Wi-Fi is a technology of choice to connect a device or appliance—such as a weight scale, smart thermostat, video camera or audio speakers-to a smartphone or to the cloud.
